KFC Partners with IRCTC
to Serve Meals on Trains
Always worried about carrying along food with you while
travelling via trains? And if it is a long journey, it becomes more difficult.
You need not worry now. A few months earlier, IRCTC had started an experiment
of e-catering services and tied up with Domino’s Pizza to deliver fresh pizzas
to its passengers on board. This eventually turned into a success. Domino’s is
delivering pizzas on more than 200 trains today! After Domino’s, its now KFC’s
turn. Yes, you heard it right. KFC has tied up with IRCTC since July 20 so that
the passengers can enjoy their favourite meals while travelling.
KFC Offers food on 12 trains that pass through
New Delhi. Soon, it will expand to other stations at Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad
and Bangalore. This service will initially be limited to trains that do not
have pantry cars, and will later start catering to trains like Rajdhani and
Duronto.
All you have to do is place your order while booking your
tickets by logging on to the IRCTC website or call 18001034139 (Toll Free),
from where you will be sent a password to your mobile phone, which you will
have to mention at the time of delivery. Its just that simple!
